Assignment Objective: Post a clear, complete, and logically sound enthymeme for your Final Research Essay, along with the QAI it is intended to answer, both here for grading and to the relevant Discussion Board for peer review.

Steps for Success on this Participation Post:
– Review the Enthymeme & Burden of Proof Outline handout, and use the models offered there to devise a complete and logically sound final enthymeme that directly answers your guiding question-at-issue for your Final Research Essay. (The question-at-issue you answer should be related to, but may have evolved from, the question-at-issue you arrived at by the end of your Controversy Paper.)
– Take care to include an arguable assertion, supporting reasons, clear shared term/s and enough new content in the reason clause to prevent it from simply repeating the assertion. Remember that to have a strong enthymeme for an academic essay, you must answer a question that is truly being debated in the scholarly discourse community, so your assertion must make a claim that others could reasonably dispute based on evidence from your scholarly research sources. (In other words, your question-at-issue, aka QAI, should generate multiple competing answers using evidence from your Annotated Bibliography sources; one of these answers will be your assertion, while the others will be counterarguments challenging and complicating your stance.)
Note: Your enthymeme may continue to develop as you research, but for now, aim to master the form of the enthymeme and be sure its assertion answers the question you set out to ask.
